OK, so there's a little CHAOS around Doc's place right now. It's T minus 7 days and counting. Soulmate is STRESSED. I think that the problem is that we have just too many lists. Being studious sorts, we try to glean as much information as possible in advance, to learn from others before we plunge in.

So, we bought not just one but at least 10 books on adoption, raising a toddler, bonding (oh, sorry, it's called attachment), and I think there's one book entirely devoted to assembling toddler gear (maybe not). Add to this conversations with at least 4 couples who have adopted from China, all of whom have forwarded us lists of "must haves" for the trip.

Now that we have compiled a master list of all the "must haves", it looks like we will need to each bring 3 full-sized suitcases to fit all the gear. I don't know if we'll get it all together in a week. I've decided to leave Beth to make the final cuts on the master list.

I stopped at the most important shop of all today, and so ensured that I'm completely ready to bring our little girl home:

Ready to roll...
