I'm Not Bragging or Anything

But it's snowing like mad in my hometown while I and my brothers and their families cavort in Orlando. It's been 86 and sunny all week after a heavy thunderstorm hit on Sunday. We've pretty much exhausted the Disney parks and Universal/Islands of Adventure, so tomorrow all that's left is to clean up at SeaWorld and pack it all in Saturday morning, just in time for the big thaw up north.

The Physical Terrorist last week took my sling off, so I don't look so dorky anymore, but I can't do much with the arm right now. It feels much stronger in just a few days out of the sling, but only strong enough to button my shirt and hold a cup of coffee. My theme park experiences have been severely limited by my decision to only undergo shoulder surgery once in this lifetime, so all I've really needed to be able to do is to hold a cup of coffee, the climate not really requiring long sleeves and all.

It has been lots of fun to host my 3 brothers and their broods in Orlando. The last time all of us were together was almost 10 years ago. My niece and nephews have enjoyed hanging out together and getting to know each other better. I hope we'll do this at least once every couple years or so, probably each time one of us brothers turns 50 (I go in 2011).

Unfortunately, I broke my cell phone screen by slamming it in the rear gate of my Pathfinder, so I don't have any cute photos or videos of the kids. I've ordered a refurbished screen from a website that has an installation video, so we'll see how long it is until I'm back in the saddle, telephonically speaking.

It feels really good to type with two hands finally, but it's like 1:30 am now, and SeaWorld awaits tomorrow...

We had a great time, and decided not to wait so long between reunions.

Today we're still recovering...
